Skogskyrkogården

Skogskyrkogården / The Woodland Cemetery, was built between 1919 and 1940. It is 123 hectares of pine forest with chapels and a crematorium. The landscape and architecture were designed by Swedish architects Gunnar Asplund and Sigurd Lewerentz. They stage the modern rituals of death in Stockholm.
