King Abdul Aziz Air Base
is a Royal Saudi Air Force operated military installation at Dhahran Saudi Arabia. It used to be known as the Dhahran International Airport and has been transformed into a military airbase since 1991. Originally the airfield built in 1945 by the US air force near the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) town. The terminal building was designed by Minoru Yamasaki built in 1961. Dhahran has been the home of Saudi Aramco's headquarters for 80 years. next to the airbase, there are gated compounds for employees and dependents.

In 2018 the budget airline Air Asia had begun operating direct flights between Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the Jeju island South Korea. The flight made many Yemeni asylum seekers possible to land the resort island.
